Maria Christoforidou & Viviane Vaux

Maria Christoforidou is an Afro-Greek artist, writer, and researcher living in Cornwall. Her practice explores the political, physical, and performative operations of words and images. Viviane Vaux is an Australian artist of Greek heritage living in Cornwall. With a background in printmaking, textiles, and costume, for the last four years her practice has been centred around community projects. Together, they have been walking and discussing philosophies of the haptic. This has resulted in drawing, writing, clay, textiles, collage workshops or ‘haptic happenings’ that include movement and voice/breath work, alongside discussion, listening and reading.
