Rubbena Aurangzeb-Tariq

Rubbena Aurangzeb-Tariq (b.1971) was born in London and studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. Raised by Pakistani parents, Rubbena’s art practice navigates her identity being a Deaf muslim woman and the complexities of being a ‘minority within a minority’. Working across painting, sculpture and installation, she creates visual representations of language and expressive emotion.
