We’ve partnered with multi-disciplined visual and sound artist Sally Hirst (Venture Arts, Manchester) to bring this year’s auction artworks to life! Audio Description with Sally Hirst

Sally Hirst is a socially engaged illustrator, textile artist and ceramicist with much of her work being inspired by the people around her, especially her foster siblings who have come from different parts of the world. Sally has been a Venture Arts studio artist for the past 7 years.

In 2023 Sally was recognised for her achievements and won the title of Young Creative of the Year at the Manchester Culture Awards. Accessibility is at the heart of everything Sally creates and she has developed her own unique style of poetic audio description, which she has been commissioned to produce for various exhibitions.
