Susie Hamilton (b.1950) is an English artist who studied painting at St Martins School of Art and Byam Shaw School of Art in London before reading English Literature at Birkbeck, University of London where she gained a Ph.D in 1989. In 2018 Susie worked with Hospital Rooms on a project at The Junipers, a newly built Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit which provides care to adults experiencing mental health difficulties which present a risk to their wellbeing or that of others.
Susie created this limited edition print to raise funds for Hospital Rooms. The single monkey is cast in sharp relief against the bold, bright light of the moon. A symbol of hope and resilience in a threatened landscape.
