Role description

Hospital Rooms is a young but growing charity that commissions world class artists to create exciting, thoughtful and stimulating artworks for inpatient mental health units. This role is:

Trusteeship (Non-remunerated)

4 meetings per year plus occasional events and working groups

Newly located offices and workshop space in Bethnal Green

With significant funding, sponsorships and numerous hospital site projects already allocated for 2019 and 2020, we’re excited to announce that we are expanding our Board of Trustees. We are looking for an Arts Trustee to ensure we continue our mission to bring world class art to mental health hospitals.

- A willingness both to represent and act as an advocate for Hospital Rooms in the public arena

- Strong communication skills and the ability to contribute to Board-level discussion, wider policy and strategy development

- A strong commitment to equal opportunities and diversity

Lastly and most significantly, you’ll be both curious and passionate about our purpose and the impact that art can have on mental health and sensitive to the needs of our beneficiaries.
