British painter Dan Howard-Birt works in a clean, illustrative style, his work references modern-era painters and projections of the painters subjective conscious onto his figures and landscapes. Join us for this still life workshop, where we will be combining postcards, fabrics and fruit to create interesting compositions to paint from. Still life paintings have always been a way of thinking about big issues such as growth and change, vanity and mortality – they might just look like pictures of vases of flowers or collections of household objects, but there’s lots more going on among these humble arrangements!
