Ryan Mosley (b. 1980, Chesterfield, UK) is a narrative painter who uses pictorial cues — from beards to brick walls and top hats — as triggers for art historical reference, class commentary, and pure formalism. Ryan worked with Hospital Rooms in 2019 on a project at Bluebird House, a mental health unit for young people who have been in touch with the criminal justice system. These studies were created in preparation for Ryan’s workshop for the Hospital Rooms Digital Art School in Summer 2020.
