In this exciting workshop you’ll learn how to draw figures alongside an award-nominated artist. You’ll refer to images of the artist and explore the use of shape, movement and line. Inspired by Siphiwe’s abstract figure artworks and dual cultural heritage, you’ll learn about self exploration, identity and reconstructing the female gaze.

• Space to lay out the wet finished artworks as you go

Siphiwe Mnguni
London-based British-Zimbabwean artist Siphiwe Mnguni creates figurative works centred on the iconography of black women and her own lived experiences. As a multidisciplinary creative, she combines a range of techniques including drawing, hand-cut collage and textiles to create vibrant mixed-media portraits layered with texture and mark-making.
